Accademia di Como Aldo Galli has launched a collaboration with "Comunità Montana del Lario e del Ceresio" to protect and enhance the region’s cultural heritage. The initiative took shape during this academic year through a conservation project on one of the most symbolic landmarks in the area: Palazzo Gallio in Gravedona, a refined example of late 16th-century architecture. The students from the Mural Painting Restoration course led the restoration, under the guidance of the project supervisor Professor Vanda Maria Franceschetti. Their work focused on the Chapel at the entrance of the Palazzo, a rare example of “camera picta”, a room entirely decorated with elegant frescoes and stucco. The restoration was supported by a diagnostic campaign led by Professor Luigi Soroldoni, who teaches Techniques and Technologies for Diagnostics.

During the event, Prof. Vanda Maria Franceschetti, project coordinator, Prof. Cristina Casaschi, Academic Director of Accademia di Como Aldo Galli, the fourth-year students of the PFP1 course, who are directly involved in the project, art historian Sergio Gaddi, and Mauro Robba, President of "Comunità Montana del Lario e del Ceresio", will speak.

The event is open to the community and to all those interested.
